Girdle design options!

Here are a few of the girdle designs I've been playing with. I'd love your opinions on these. Also - I wanted to share just cause the photos are so pretty. These can be made with any of the ouches in any color combination, but at this time I only have black stones for the large centerpiece stones in centerpiece option A.

I've only got the oval rhinestones in claw settings in black right now as well. Other colors are on order :)

So -What's your favorite?

  2. I'm not particularly fond of the gold cross bars. B and C are my favorites. E is lovely, but it feels more like a Chain of Office than a girdle.

  3. I do like the cross bars, which surprised me because I thought I would like the look of the one that was just ouches better. Once I saw it though, it seems too heavy, too crowded. I think that a diagonal ouch on the center element looks much better than the oval stone--the oval setting with just the black stone just doesn't have the same weight as the ouches and it looks out of place. I could also see that working well as a place to mount a laurel or pelican medallion. As for the one or two point connection, I want to like the single point connection for the mechanical reasons you mention, but visually, it looks too delicate and out of scale with the design. The two point connection on option C looks the best to me--one pearl above and two below. There is not an example of such a connection with an ouch mounted on the centerpiece, but I am guessing that visually, that would make for the best spacing (with the filigreed edge of the central medallion taking up the visual space/weight that would have been taken up by the gold cross bar--I'm trying to imagine this, but would I ultimately defer to your judgement working with the real materials.)

  4. B is my favorite with C and E coming in as close seconds. Then A and D. All of them are absolutely beautiful however.
